DESCRIPTION

Based is a comedy based ragdoll 3rd person shooter, where the player (Zid) must escape Area 52½ where they being held captive

Contributions

The game genre and style was my orignal idea with Based being based off a previous small game of mine Trumper. I pitched this genre for a major project and it ended up being selected by the team out of numerous options.

One of my main responsibilities in this project was the player controller and the ragdoll animation systems for all characters within the game. The player controller was designed to be extremely modulare with the capability to add and remove controller behaviour modules operating similar to unitys inspector components. This was achieved through editor coding and was designed for ease of use for the designers. The Animation system gets character joints to try and match a non ragdoll characters animation rotation for each joint

I was also responsible for both the gun creation pipline and framework aswell as the ragdoll character set up pipline. Both of these were achieved by myself writing editor tools within the engine that could be quickly and easily used by all team members
